I was at my cousins wedding on Sunday and I missed the premiere of the show I've been waiting for, Bored to Death.
Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson star in it, and let me just say, it is an HBO gem. Maybe I am being a little bias because I have had a crush on Cool Ethan for a very long time, but I think it is great.
After being dumped by the ever beautiful Olivia Thirlby, Jonathan creates a craiglist ad claiming to be a private detective. He recklessly helps uncover a young girl who is being held captive by her boyfriend in a gritty hotel, only to be taken in by the police and out "money for expenses." The funniest thing about this episode is that he pays for a room under the name Philip Marlowe. I am not a fan of The Big Sleep due to overexposure to it, but I do enjoy a little Murder, My Sweet. I guess you could say I just enjoyed the many references to the works of Raymond Chandler.
Cannot wait for next weeks episode.
